I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina.
I now live in Franklinton with my husband, Hal, and our dog, Hooch.

I started swimming at a very young age and my parents put me on a team when I was about 8.
I swam competitively until I graduated from high school at age 17.

While in high school, I was a lifeguard for the YMCA.
After going on to college, I taught swim lessons and worked on a degree in youth counseling.
I worked with youth for 5 years before deciding to go back to school for nursing.

I am excited to be a part of the BDA team and to have the opportunity to teach kids to be successful swimmers!
